Job Description

The Agile Coach is a critical role in out digital transformation. The Agile Coach is responsible for helping inspire and motivate management to adopt digital products, assemble and teach teams digital best practices, and ensure teams deliver solutions with velocity.

This person must have experience in implementing Large Scale Scrum projects, must be familiar with Design Thinking, and have hands-on knowledge of cloud development methodologies.

The goal of this role is to ensure steady adoption and successful implementation of digital initiatives across our business units.  

The ideal candidate must be passionate about seeing teams learn, grow, and succeed.  They must be patient and willing to teach others.

  • The main objective of the Agile Coach is to ensure teams across the company are adopting and implementing digital initiatives using Scrum and Design Thinking.

  • Lobbying key stakeholders within the company to promote Agile and Design Thinking.

  • Create and grow scrum teams across the business and ensure teams are operating with velocity.

  • Facilitate Design Thinking workshops.

  • Hands-on training/mentoring teams on Security, Cloud and Devops best practices.


  • Number of projects adopting Agile.
  • Number of scrum teams with established velocity.
  • Number of teams using Agile tools.

Education and/or Experience

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent, preferably in an Engineering/Technology related discipline. 

  • Experienced cloud and scrum professional preferred.

  • Proven experience working within a large organization and implementing cultural and process changes to enable collaboration.

  • Proven experience in security, cloud development and devops.


    Product Knowledge:

  • Experience and training in technology best practices; e.g. Agile, Design Thinking, Lean-Start-up, Entrepreneurship/Intrepreneurship, Pitch Creation, Cloud Development, DevOps etc.


    Communication Skills:

  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills required.

  • Proven experience working with global groups and navigating through language barriers.


    Reasoning Ability:

  • Ability to define problems, collect and interpret data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.


    Computer Skills:

  • Working knowledge of Agile and development tooling.

  • Working knowledge of Azure

  • Experience in the following web technologies:

    • Node

    • CSS

    • React

    • OAuth/Securing for Cloud

    • NoSQL

    • Cloud architectures such as Pub/Sub, Microservices, websockets, etc.

  • Proficient use of Office 365 suite of programs.

  • Virtual meeting software; e.g. Skype, GoToMeeting etc

Physical Demands:


Comparable with an office based role and associated physical demands.

 Work Environment:



  • Will be required to travel regularly for business and customer meetings.
  • Flexible working location - balance between travel, office and homeworking required
  • Flexible working hours due to the need to communicate with global teams on a regular basis.
