Job Description

Under direct supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor/Manager, the Mechanic maintains, diagnoses, and repairs a variety of equipment including the coiled tubing service line equipment as well as diesel engines, transmissions, drive-train components, winches, high-pressure pumps, centrifugal pumps, air compressors, microprocessor controls, electro - mechanical equipment, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, mobile cranes, wellhead attachments, pressure equipment, gearboxes, PTO’s, generators, chemical metering systems, 12/24-volt electrical systems, equipment cabs and controls, chassis and suspension, rims, tires, wheels, A/C systems, and other energy-services equipment at the yard and in the field. The Coiled Tubing Mechanic also performs additional duties as assigned.


  • A least 6 months experience as a Coiled Tubing Mechanic
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • No more than 2 accident(s) violations in the last three (3) years. No more than 3 moving violations (speeding, etc.) in the last three (3) years. No more than one (1) accident and no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years. No DWI/DUI in the last five (5) years.
  • Pass the company’s drug
  • Pass the company’s “Physical Functions Assessment”. (if applicable)
  • Motor vehicle record qualifies individual to be an approved company
  • Acceptable criminal
  • Heavy Work- Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Medium
  • This position requires standing, walking, and sitting while working either indoors or
  • While performing the job, will be required to lift/carry, pull/push, reach, squat, kneel, and or climb ladders or
  • Working conditions for this position may involve exposure to varying environmental conditions. This may include chemicals, gases, cold/heat, noise, dampness, dust, fumes, radiation and heights. Exposure to the above conditions should be handled as prescribed in the Company’s Accident Prevention Handbook and/or the Company’s Standard Operating
  • Technical school certificate of graduation in related field
  • 6 months, one or more years’ of on the job experience in related fields
  • Previous experience with hydraulic power transmission where heavy machinery is applied
  • Experience operating coiled tubing equipment and/or applicable military service such as maintenance of motor, armor and/or artillery equipment
  • One or more years’ of experience as a mechanic repairing automotive or other equipment (heavy equipment preferred)
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required
  • Basic computer skills are
  • Required travel: 20-35%


  • Maintains, diagnoses, and repairs a variety of equipment within the coiled tubing service line and other service line
  • Ensures compliance with all company and client Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) practices and
  • Requires maintained eligibility to drive company
  • Possesses an understanding of district goals and works towards meeting those
  • Performs work on his/her own as well as providing assistance to others as
  • Must participate in all company provided training as required by job
