We are seeking a high temperature hydrogen membrane specialist to join our Research and Development Center (R&DC).
Your primary role will be to assess technical and business opportunity, identify potential areas for research and development, and establish strategy and tactics to achieve technical and business goals. You will lead technology development projects including ideas generation, projects planning, process design, data evaluation, and presentation, and interacting with project scientists and technicians as well as management, proponents, and other stakeholders.
As the successful candidate, you will hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering. An advanced degree (Ph.D.) in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering is required. You should have a minimum of 10 years professional experience relevant to the area of hydrogen production, refinery fields, carbon capture technologies, and other related areas. You should have a strong and proven background in reforming processes, experimental design, and the scaling-up of new processes related to hydrogen production area. You will have experience in employing experimentation for process design, process intensification, and optimization. You should have solid hands-on experience and knowledge in designing and evaluating heterogeneous catalysts for reforming applications. You will be able to identify technical challenges and business opportunities in the hydrogen production and CO2 capture area, with a proven record for proposing patentable ideas and integrating ideas into business. You will also have hands-on experience and knowledge in lab operations and operating, assessing, and optimizing catalytic designing, as well as evaluating heterogeneous catalysts for reforming applications. You will be able to identify technical challenges and business opportunities in the hydrogen production and CO2 capture area.
Duties and Responsibilities
You will be required to undertake the following
Lead and efficiently manage research and development projects related to the hydrogen production and CO2 capture areas, to meet objectives, timelines, and budgets.
Develop and manage technologies from concept to production within a short timespan, and oversee process development using experimentation and modeling.
Supervise and provide technical leadership to a team of scientists and engineers, and be responsible for their training and development.
Perform economic evaluation and rigorous financial modeling/analysis, to identify value creation opportunities that align with the Company’s strategic objectives.
Author technical reports, papers, and generate patent applications as appropriate.
