Job Description

Our client is looking for an Inventory Control Supervisor to join the Supply Chain group in Elko, Nevada.    They are an integrated gold mining operation that combines the Cortez and Goldstrike properties in Nevada, employing a total of 3,000 employees and 800 contractors. The operation utilizes both open pit and underground mining methods with Autoclave and Roaster processing facilities at Goldstrike and Milling/Heap Leaching facilities at Cortez.

 

Inventory Control Supervisor

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, direct, manage and evaluate the inventory management activities

  • Monitor inventory levels and inventory movement using manual and computerized inventory systems

  • Review compiled inventory reports (quantity, type and value of materials, and equipment and stock on hand, confer with other department leads and staff to coordinate inventory management activities

  • Lead internal and third-party inventory audits and provide input inventory management policies and procedures

  • Perform other duties as needed

    Qualifications:

  • Must have knowledge and experience on how to manage the inventory functions required

  • Four (4) years of experience in warehouse inventory control required

  • Five (5) years working in supply chain, maintenance planning environment required

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business or technical field preferred

  • Solid understanding of forecasting, replenishment and inventory planning required

  • Project Management designation / experience preferred

  • Business process improvement coach or experience preferred

  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project and Outlook) required

  • Excellent leadership, verbal, written and interpersonal skills required

  • The ability to multi-task required

  • Demonstrated ability to perform essential function of the position required
