Calling all Press Maintenance Technicians - Amy needs you!

Amy has a permanent position available based with a client in Washington, Tyne & Wear. On offer is a competitive salary and shift allowance. Based in central Washington this position is easily accessible via the A19.

Please note you will be expected to work to a 3- shift pattern which includes early starts, back- shift and night-shift so you must be able to commute to the site for all shifts. We need all Maintenance Technicians to be flexible towards shifts and overtime. 

As a Press Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for responding to technical issues affecting production and maintaining electrical & mechanical aspects of a range of blanking, progressive and transfer presses and related equipment & machinery. Ideally you will have experience of working in an industrial manufacturing setting and will have the knowledge and ability to work safely and accurately. You will be able to think under pressure providing immediate support during breakdowns ensuring minimum machine downtime. You will have experience of maintaining and interrogating PLC, Drive and Robot systems and will be confident communicating technical issues and feedback to others including internal departments and external suppliers.

 

Day to day duties will include:

*Setting, servicing and maintenance of equipment to meet weekly production requirements.

*Ensuring you follow all company procedures and regulations including health & safety, environment and quality policies.

*Performing planned preventative maintenance  and assisting in developing systems and procedures.

* Attending meetings and working alongside other functions necessary to perform duties and aid business development.

* Following 5S methodology to maintain the highest standards 

* Isolation and de-isolation of equipment in accordance with company's procedures to allow machinery to be worked upon safely.
