Sales Engineer

 

My client is a leading machining company, with an international presence within the industrial sector. They are currently recruiting for a Sales Consultant, who can work remotely across England and Wales, supporting their Kendal, Cumbria office. The role will offer a fantastic opportunity to someone looking to learn and develop their career. The company has superb long term contracts which means they’ve steady growth planned for the next 3 years.

This role can be worked as a home office, but travel will be up to 90%, visiting client and supporting contracts.

 

Reports to:

Head of Sales

 

Main Tasks:

  1. Promote and sell complete range of Client products and services to a targeted customer base in all key accounts.

  2. Gain a full understanding of the technical product portfolio and effectively communicate the key benefits to professionals of all levels within Integrity, Modifications and Construction.

  3. Gain a level of product understanding for all other Business Unit within the wider company field, and present these to key clients where applicable.

  4. Operate within an agreed account management process, liaising and coordinating within the internal teams to ensure that the correct technical, operational and commercial resources are available to support account development activities

  5. Evaluate and quantify extent of business opportunity for the client products in clarified accounts / clients

  6. Gather and collate market intelligence data on client and competitors in client targeted market sectors, plus its emerging markets in accordance within the Company’s strategic plan.

  7. Constantly communicate with company client management team and input to the wider, with regards forward planning of sales visits, visit reports complete within detailed action plans, to ensure we and exceed were possible the sales targets.  

 

Key Responsibilities

  1. Delivering an agreed annual individual company target

  2. Maintaining strong relationships with designated Key Customers

  3. Maintenance of client contact information within CRM system

  4. Following the sales process by creating, developing and maintaining a weighted sales pipeline and reporting on monthly budgets versus targets to company’s Head of Sales.

  5. Support maintenance of the Key Client Account Plans, ensure they are kept up to date at all times.

  6. Recognise and adhere to all company HSEQ policies internally and externally.

  1. Company Head of Sales

  2. Company Management team

  3. Company Operational personal

  4. Company Sales personnel.

 

Mandatory Requirement

  1. At least 5 years’ commercial sales experience

  2. It is expected that you shall be degree qualified in either a commercial or engineering sector; or related business discipline.

  3. Possess first class communication skills, written and oral

  4. Have exposure to Industrial or Manufacturing product related sales.

  5. Have the right to work in the United Kingdom.

  6. Clean, UK Driving Licence

  

Key Results:

  1. Achievement of sales targets for selected clients.

 

Contract

  1. This is a permanent, staff position with the end client

  2. £40-50,000p/a + Pension + Car + Laptop + Company Phone + Bonus

  3. Working Days Monday – Friday (maybe requirement to travel on weekends)

  4. Location across England and Wales (80-90% travel)
