Job Description


EPG is looking for a Principal Cloud Automation Engineer that will lead, develop, support, and build the product. Gathers user requirements, writes and reviews codes using an agile methodology, and continuously updates the back-end code of the product. Collaborates with internal stakeholders, the development team and Scrum Master to develop, design, build and launch the product.


  • Develop Cloud infrastructure plans
  • Develop Infrastructure as code
  • Work with engineering teams to assess and document their cloud-related needs through in-person conversations and written, technical designs and documentation
  • Provide expert cloud infrastructure design consultation to the rest of the engineering staff
  • Collaborate to craft a long-term vision for our cloud infrastructure and help us migrate to it
  • Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve API and application performance
  • Contribute to monitoring, stability, and security of existing tools


  • Minimum of 10-15 years of development experience
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related quantitative discipline
  • AWS Stack, EC2, VPC, Networking (VPC Gateway, Route 53, ELB), Cloud Formation, Auto Scaling, Security and IAM
  • Terraform – In depth knowledge, with awareness of best practices
  • Experience with monitoring tools like Sensu and Nagios
  • Ability to write excellent scripts in Ruby/Python, Bash
  • Desire to automate, optimize, and drive efficiency of operations in a global environment
  • Oracle database experience and working on data providers and APIs for mobile and web clients
  • Ability to perform agile methodologies and rapid iteration
  • Able to build a sense of trust and rapport that creates a comfortable & effective workplace
